Women's turtleneck pullover

Close to the neck, fitted or loose, the turtleneck pullover is one of the defining pieces of the winter wardrobe. At Soeur, it comes in two registers: fine knit, worn beneath a shirt or as an underlayer, and chunky knit, warmer, to wear on its own. Our collection of pullovers and cardigans offers wool, cashmere and alpaca-blend wool turtlenecks, in a palette ranging from deep black to ecru beige, via navy blue and brown.

From the office to the weekend

The turtleneck is one of those pieces that works everywhere. During the week, its fine version in wool turtleneck merino, black or anthracite, slips under a blazer or an open shirt; it is the knit that disappears beneath layers, in offices where the heating is mild in the morning. At the weekend, chunky knit takes over, worn with raw denim jeans, ankle boots and a coat thrown over the shoulders. For winter evenings, cashmere, rarer and more enveloping, accompanies a structured jacket and a more pronounced fragrance, in shades beyond black: off-white, navy, burgundy.

Fine knit, chunky knit, oversized

The turtleneck comes in several textures. Fine knit, in merino wool or cashmere, follows the line of the neck without marking it; it is the style that slips beneath an open white shirt or under a blazer on cool days. Chunky knit, in combed wool or alpaca, adds volume to the upper body and stands on its own, worn with raw jeans or wool trousers. The cuts oversized, with an extra-large collar and dropped armholes, reshape the piece and call for layering: under a wool pullover sleeveless, or under a wool coat more structured. One piece, several constructions.
